Yin & Yang
According to Wikipedia, the concepts of yin and yang originate in ancient Chinese philosophy and metaphysics, which describe two primal opposing but complementary principles said to be found in all non-static objects and processes in the universe.

Yin represents the receptive, feminine, dark, passive force and yang represents the creative, masculine, bright, active force. Yin & Yang are descriptions of complementary opposites rather than absolutes. All forces in nature can be seen as having yin and yang states, and the two are in movement rather than held in absolute stasis.

Why this Yin & Yang talk?

Now let's talk about the other Yin, the one that has been making news these past weeks. Yup, the small kid Muhammad Nazrin Shamsul Ghazali a.k.a Yin who was lost while their parents were shopping at Sogo.

A lot has been said about the Myanmar couple now that they found out that there is a possibility that Yin was made a child-beggar and the reasons for the late return of Yin given by the couple wasn't really that convincing.

And on Yin's part, he was given some sort of a homecoming in Perak. All through last week, the parents were given all kind of support from the media and the rakyat. Yes, we rakyat Malaysia are really sympathetic and helpful lot. Some gave out donations to help find Yin. And now that Yin is found the parents will have the luxury to decide where the RM15,000 reward money should go to.

Hey, wait a minute...! Let us all think hard for a while. Who's fault was it that Yin's got lost in the first place?? And mind you, Yin actually didn't get lost. The parents (the father to be specific) actually lost him!! How can you go into a dressing room trying some shirts while leaving a 5-year old wandering alone in a shopping complex as complex as Sogo?? I myself am a father of seven, six of them boys, and I wouldn't even think of doing such unless I am very sure that somebody I trust is looking after my kid at the time. Losing sight of them for even a few seconds would make my heart beats faster...

But no..., not this parent. To be fair, the parents need to be reprimanded also. Pure negligence, as simple as that.

I know many would not agree with me. But again, like in the first paragraph on Yin & Yang above, the small boy Yin must have his Yang (here his father) so that the two are in movement rather than held in absolute stasis.

And, did you read the NST that the boy had gone missing once before?? According to his grandmother Yin is an active boy and on one incident he had left the house on his own and headed for a road about 10 metres away but luckily they managed to find him later.

I rest my case. Not sympathetic to the parents??? No. I'm rather sympathetic to the kid. For having such a parent.
