The chairman talked on a lot of things but was very focused on what he wanted us to get from his speech. He talked about the human capital that is the concern of our PM right now. He even predicted that this Friday's RM9 announcement will include at least RM20 billion for the development of this human capital. Why, he asked? It is because of the technological intoxication we are facing due to the globalization of things. The dehumanization process will turn us into one of the following two : a Robot or an Animal.

How are we going about to tackle this problem? We will have to go back to nature (fitrah manusia), according to him. In our holy Qur'an it is already stated that the human mission comprises of two aspects : Liberative and Transformative. We have to (we must) be free to be able to transform ourselves into better beings.

He stressed on how the quality of a human being is measured. It is by his contributions, he said. He urged us to contribute in whatever way we can.

On the history of the mind, he told us the stories between Habil and Qabil (Abel & Cain). There are 2 mindsets, according to him - Habil Mindset (rational, based on facts, +ve thinking) vs Qabil Mindset (irrational, based on emotions, -ve thinking). Having the -ve mindset will lead us the minda terjajah whereas +ve mindset leads to minda hadhari.

His 6 symptoms of one's having minda terjajah:
* mundur
* not flexible
* berserah mentality
* asyik or ralit
* too selfish
* not imaginative

Aha...think that I was dozing off all those while? Think again.
